Every cast off has a stone thrown at them until set free. But no acceptance until they are drawn into the pores as a sponge to fill the melting pot with water to relieve and sustain with new vessels that will carry blood to strengthen the heart of all.

I remember that poem, you posted it on notes a while back. I liked it then, I like it now. Thank you David.

Yes I was caught out by World Refugee Day a few weeks back and I had this poem lined up for this week instead - it would have been much more co-ordinated if I had posted it on the day but it was also important to me to keep the shape of this series as I had collected it together.. so I posted a screenshot of it in a note instead. I felt it was the easiest way to cover all bases :)

Either way, I’m glad you shared it. It speaks from the heart.

Well done. So poignant.

Cheers Brian - I tentatively explore these more charged topics but I feel a need to do it at times and I am exploring how to do it as well as I can, as sensitively and informed as I can. Hopefully getting there carefully :)
